    Installation of services must be well documented with exact needs (modules, etc.). Operating System MUST be preinstalled by the client on servers in colocation.

    Level 5 Pro Active 24/7 Monitoring Emergency Procedures

    For all services modified by the client or not installed by Doithosting's team, detailed emergency Procedure must be provided for each monitored service. Emergency procedures to restart unsupported softwares and services can be provided. In the case of the failure of an unsupported service, our team will only intent to RESTART the unsupported service with the provided emergency procedure. In the case that the restart procedure would fail, you will be contacted to follow up and fix the issue with the unsupported software.

    How does the backup system work?

    The client must ask for the backup system to be configured on his server and must specify the directories that will have to be backed up. Each day, a backup script is executed in order to take a snapshot of the data. The client will receive a daily email confirmation of the backup. Only the data that has changed from the previous snapshot will be updated on the backup. Most of the log and system files will be excluded from the backups. The snapshots are saved for a period of 14 days. The client can restore files from day 1 to day 14.

    What is the « bad surprise » insurance?

    Do it dedicated servers
    Administration levels 3, 4 and 5 include an insurance against “bad surprises”. If your server is inoperative because of viruses, worms, defective software or any unforeseeable event and that immediately reinstalling both your server and its operating system is necessary, Do it hosting will reinstall your server and make it operational free of charge within 4 hours following your request. This service is offered 24/7 without reinstallation fees and without deducting administration time from your monthly package. The server is reinstalled as we initially delivered it to you. The 4 hour delay begins when the customer authorizes the reinstallation.

    Co-location single servers
    Administration levels 3, 4 and 5 provide an insurance against “bad surprises” in order to allow you to access your server in case of an emergency. We do NOT reinstall operating systems on colocation servers (reinstallation is the owner’s responsibility). These procedures allow InstantColo customers one hour of access time to the Data Center with supervision or one hour of crash analysis after hours in case of emergency. The “bad surprises” insurance may be used only once a month. If you are located far from the Data Center and wish to protect your server from unforeseeable events that require immediately reinstalling the operating system, you may provide us with a hard disk copy of your basic installation. The hard disk will be stored in the Data Center and used if necessary as a replacement for your corrupted or damaged disk.

    Co-location private space customers
    The “bad surprise” insurance does not apply to these customers since they have 24/7 access to the Data Center without supervision.
